Getmetalking.com offers a variety of fun, colorful teaching products including over 2300 flash cards, classroom signs, board games, and card games in English, German and Spanish. The flash cards are offered as a one year subscription, and the other products are downloaded as files. Many of these products are based on color clip art pictures from Clipart.com and help to elicit new vocabulary and practice language structures.

Getmetalking.com is a site mainly for language teachers. They can even be used by elementary teachers to reinforce reading in English. It can also be used by parents who want to teach their children another language or reinforce their native language. Students can also download these cards for extra practice for their classes.

The materials can be used from pre-school all the way up to adult instruction, from beginning to very advanced levels.

Heavy card stock works best because students can't see through them. You must turn over the cards to print on the reverse side. Do a test copy on your printer first to make sure the texts print correctly on the reverse side. I suggest laminating them to preserve them but this is not necessary. Cut them up on a paper cutter or have students cut them up. Print extra copies because cards can disappear in a classroom setting.

A one year subscription includes unlimited download of vocabulary and grammar picture flash cards (20 to a page) with texts on the reverse side. In addition, there are 85 teacher-tested games to be played with the flash cards. These games are divided up into listening, recognition of reading, and production games based on Bloom's Taxonomy.

For each set of board games you will have three weeks in which you can download as many as you want. There are 10 or 11 game boards included in each set. For each set of classroom signs and the card games you will have two weeks. Please allow yourself enough time to download them. Download time starts the first time you download the products, not when you pay for them.

All materials have been checked by native speakers. However, since there are so many materials, there may be errors that were overlooked. Also, all the Spanish dialects could not be included because of space problems. Please e-mail me if you find language problems, and I will immediately fix them.

Most every printer is equipped with software to center content to a page. There are features such as fit to page or center on page which work well for getting the best results from centering prints. In addition, another pratice to get maximum print coverage on a single print out is to set all margins to 0 to .25". This will allow the artwork to print as close to the edges as possible.
